Dry-Fire Scenarios For Practice Phase

How To Practice With These Dry-Fire Scenarios

The video above contains 3 first-person situational videos to put you “in the action” and safely practice real-world threat scenarios safely.

Here are some tips for getting the most out of this exercise:

  • For the best experience, play the video in “Full Screen” mode.

  • While you can practice these scenarios using your computer screen, the larger you can make the video, the better… so consider mirroring your computer, smartphone, or tablet onto a large screen tv or using a home projector system to display it on a screen in your “Tactical Funhouse” dry-fire range.

  • SAFETY IS CRITICAL WHEN PERFORMING ANY DRY-FIRE TRAINING!

    • There are realistic firearm simulators you can use (such as a SIRT pistol, airsoft gun (preferably a “blowback” version) or BB/pellet gun that best mimics your real firearm

    • If you plan to use your real weapon for practice, be sure to follow these…

4 Rules Of Firearm Safety:

  1. Always Keep Firearm Pointed In A Safe Direction
  2. Treat All Guns As Though They Are Loaded
  3. Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until You Are Ready To Shoot
  4. Always Be Sure Of Your Target And What’s Beyond It

Additional Safety Rules For Dry-Fire Practice:

  1. Clear the gun, magazines and any equipment you’ll be using of ALL live ammunition and put it across the room (in another room is even better).

  2. Visually, and with your finger, check the barrel of your weapon with the slide back to confirm that there are no live rounds left in the chamber. If someone is training with you, have them also visually and manually check to confirm there are no live rounds in your weapon.

  3. Find a safe place to train with a bullet-proof backing.

  4. Get into position and check your gun again. Be absolutely sure the chamber and magazine well are clear!

  5. Say out loud to yourself (and anyone else in the area), “I’m beginning dry fire practice.”

  6. Begin your training and have fun!
